Akershus or the Garden Grill?

Would you choose Akershus or the Garden Grill for lunch? We are traveling with a 5 year old girl, we've eaten at Akershus with her and duh, she loved it. BUT, in terms of wanting to try something different, I am considering GG. Now, I haven't been since I was little- so I don't remember the food, only the cool circular restaurant that moves around.

Any pros or cons? Thanks!

We love Garden Grill and its a MUST DO for our family. The food is solid and the atmosphere i very relaxed. Character interaction is quite generous and very special. I would definitely give it a try- we have never been disappointed.

Another thumbs up for Garden Grill. We did both places in November (with 9 & 5 yo girls). We all loved Garden Grill breakfast. The only thing I'd wonder, depending on when you are going, is if eating an early breakfast would get you ahead of the crowds at all for the Frozen ride.

For lunch, Garden Grill! We love it for dinner and the menu is pretty much the same for lunch, aside from the rolls and butter they serve at dinner (at least that is the only difference on both menus online). We also love Akershus, but for breakfast. Those were both on our list of must dos for our trip this year.. dinner at Garden Grill and breakfast at Akershus. Garden Grill is so much fun and the food is delicious! We loved it in 2014, and it was even better when I went in November. The character interaction there is some of the best we've experienced.. they each came around to the table 3 times!

I cant really speak about Akershus as its been years since we ate there, but GG would get my vote based on what I know. I would say go to GG just to get a new place under your belt.

Ok you guys sold me.
I'll try and book GG for lunch-
...And CRT another night to get the princesses in. I don't want to do both princess restaurants - as I'm actually afraid my DD might be able to tell the difference in the princesses. Plus, its expensive.

I'm excited to try something from my childhood. Fun!

If I had to pick one WHich is hard to do, because IMHO they both are Meh at best...
Garden Grill slighly beats it out...Stricly for the Character interaction....

The food was plentiful at GG but was very very salty...The food at AKershus , honestly was terrible....& not by any means I'm far from picky too.

The characters at AK were just ok..They seemed disinterested.... GG has been known to make the slightly queasy customer a lil sick w/ the slow spinning motion of the restaurant. *( I didn't notice anything..)

There are soo many other optioins that could easily fulfill that void I'm sure...

1 that immediately comes to mind is 1900 PF....Breakfast is excellent all the way around..Dinner was not as great as breakfast but was still fine..The characters is what makes the night fun though....

We did NOT have a great experience with Garden Grill. We had a HORRIBLE server! She in fact told me that I was too old to be celebrating my birthday at Disney. I was almost in tears when we left. I told the manager about it, and he wasn't happy at all. He had us wait and refunded our dining credits.

So, my vote would be DON"T do Garden Grill - run far far away
