I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but which is better? I know that Cindy's is 2 TS credits. I'm leaning more towards a breakfast, but my mind could be changed. Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated! TIA!

I would choose Akershus, because A) the characters are usually better, B) It's not ridiculously priced, and C) I love eating in World Showcase!

Oh and D) I like getting into Epcot early, because it's so pretty (especially with no guests)

(and yes, going with breakfast is the best choice for either...)

I will always say CRT :thumbsup2

We didn't love Akershus, but I will probably be the only person to say that
The table were so close together, that it was very difficult to get in and out for the my girls to see the characters.
We didn't love the food (it wasn't terrible, but we think CRT is better).
My girls were 2 and 7 at the time, and even my 7yr old said she liked CRT better.

I know it's more expensive, but the atmosphere is alot better, and I think the food is better too ::yes::. Plus, because it's smaller, the characters stay a little longer at the tables, because they don't have so much floor to cover.

Have a fun trip!!!!!

We've eaten at CRT and loved it. The food was fantastic and my girls got lots of time with the characters. We've not eaten at the other, so can't compare. We did go with the latest time we could get and still be lunch, I think it was less $ that way.

We always do Akershus just because it's easier to get reservations than CRT. I've been calling every day for two weeks for our March trip and CRT is booked SOLID the entire trip, but we were able to get Akershus for lunch w/ no problems. The trip was a surprise, so I count myself lucky! I agree with you on the food at Akershus, though. I've found the salmon sandwich and soup to be the bet bet there. princess:

Let's throw another into the mix: 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella and the Stepsisters.

Akershus may not be ridiculously priced now, but sometime in April they're going to start including a photo package and the price will be comparable to CRT.

It seems that it will still be 1 DDP credit though. So if you're on DDP it may be a deal.

In December we did Akershus for breakfast and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Akershus was great. Yes the tables are close...but we sat dd on the outside and dh and I sat on the inside... so she could get up and down w/ the girls no problem. Dh especially loved the potato casserole. Belle was in the lobby and dd's photo w/ her was awesome. Inside, we saw Snow White (dd was wearing a snow white dress), Mulan, Aurora and Jasmine.

1900 Park Fare was an excellent experience as well. Dd wore her cindy dress. We met the prince first.. he was amazing and dd almost burst w/ all the attention! Cindy was lovely...but the stars of the night were the stepsisters. They were loud and yelling back and forth to each other all night. One complimented dd on her dress...and then whispered that she always thought cindy should be a brunette! ;)

Dd and I are going back in July on a girls trip for her 7th birthday. I'm opting for the Deluxe Dining Plan so we are doing Akershus for lunch, 1900 Park Fare for dinner and CRT for breakfast (the morning of her bday!). Each meal has it's plusses... it would be hard to pick just one!

Especially since it seems you're on the DDP, because you meantioned 2 TS credits, I would take CRT. Keep in mind I've never been to the world, but just to be in the castle is enough for me.

We did Akershus last vacation. We did the dinner. I did not particularly care for the food or the cold bar. The princesses were great and the hall was incredible. We had a photo package when we were there. I don't remember how much it was though. It was with Ariel in a blue green dress. The princesses inside were Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle in blue dress, and Alice in Wonderland. We have reservations at CRT this summer for breakfast!:woohoo:

Does anyone know that if you are on the DDP at CRT, do you have to pay for the picture package separtely like you do at other restaurants? It doesn't sound like you do, that it is included in the price but just want to make sure.

I'm pretty sure the pictures are included whether you're on the DDP or not. :thumbsup2

Maybe I'm a freak, but I actually liked the food at Akershus better than CRT. Maybe the chefs had an off night at CRT but I was kind of disappointed. The experience was a lot of fun despite the food. ;)

The picture package is included in the price no matter how you pay. and if you are on the DDP, keep in mind that the CRT price also includes gratuity. This is not true of anything else on DDP except for the dinner shows.

I'm doing CRT for the second year in a row, for breakfast. We pay OOP because it's not worth 2 TS credits. The atmosphere is beautiful, and we found the princesses were very good.

We did Akershus for dinner two years ago, and it was nice too, though the atmosphere is more chaotic there, and my salmon was inedible.

I think either one is good. If you're using the DDP, you get more bang for your buck with Akershus though the atmosphere is not as nice.

I've done Norway breakfast, CRT breakfast, and CRT lunch (3 times- 4th will be in July). I would go with CRT over all of them. It is a lot of fun, and I love the food.
