Although I voted for the meatballs, it will actually be a long time before I go back. First they need to get rid of the princesses and then they need to return to the Koldboard.

Is the food bad there? It will be our 1st time to eat there in a few weeks.

The food is wonderful. My dh and I love this place. The last time we were there was 2003 and it wasn't a character restaurant. I already made dinner reservations for our trip in October.

I voted for the pasta. I've never actually ordered it, but ate some of my DD's and it was quite good. I've had the soup and sandwich and that was okay but not great. I've also had the trout which I really disliked. The meatballs weren't even on the menu when I was there in May. I had planned on ordering them, but they weren't listed.

Actually, the koldtbord is back now and it is very appetizing. And for lunch the menu items are yummy. I love the open-faced salmon sandwhich with the soup. The princesses don't bite. If you love it that much, you should still stop by and say hello! I work there 2 days a week!

Thanks for the update on the koldtbord (and the correction on the spelling), but I had heard that it was only for one of the courses. For other parts of the meal, your server brought your order. I really liked being able to pick out exactly what, and how much, I wanted.

As far as the princesses go, its not the princesses that I'm afraid of - its the crowd that goes there to see them.

I see...I can totally understand you there as far as the crowds go. I would say if you really wanted to try it again, go for the last lunch seating..sometime after 2:40pm but before 4:00. Crowds are pretty small then. Sometimes as low as 2 taables booked. You are right though. The koldtbord is only for the appetizer portion of the meal now. But it's still pretty yummy! Oh, and I only knew how to spell it because my boyfriend is one of the Norwegian cast members working in Akershus! Otherwise, I would have no clue!
