Akershus info?

Anyone have info/pics about the breakfast at Akershus, all I read on allears were a few items like bacon, eggs, cinnamon rolls etc. Do they offer drinks included on the ddp? Is it buffet?

There is a cold buffet at Akershus breakfast most of which I didn't care for except for the bagels. You are also served a hot plate of food which is all you can eat: eggs, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, and a potato casserole that is very good. Drinks are included on the ddp at Akershus breakfast - I'm pretty sure I got juice & coffee.

I have gotten coke too. So you can substitute pop, but I had to ask for it. I enjoy the breakfast at Akerhaus, a cold buffet is set up as well as the plated food you get.

We loved this breakfast. Did it twice on DDP last trip and are going again next month.

We were offered coffee and juice. Then you help yourself to a cold buffet. Bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon and fresh frruit - the berries were excellent. There was cubed cheese aswell and maybe pastries?

Then they bring a dish to share for your table with scrambled eggs, sausage. bacon and yummy potato casserole. If you need anymore they will bring it.

I have been to this breakfast a few time and have not been impressed. We went last October because we couldn't get into the Castle. Overall I think the Castle is a much better meal/experience.

Thansk for the info and the link...I figured it had to be more than some bacon and eggs...thus the cold table.
