Ok, I know someone will be able to help me out.
How exactly does the Dinner work at Akershus?
Also, has anyone been there before? I keep reading reviews that it used to be AWESOME, and then now the food is not that good and cold?
I have an ADR here and I need to know if I should keep it or not.
Group of 12 adults (who will enjoy the princesses) no kids. Thanks!

Dinner at Akershus is a plated order. You order from the menu. There is a small buffet of appetizers.

If you really into seeing the princesses, it's worth it. About a year ago we went and the food was pretty bad, but we went again this fall and the food was pretty good. The way it works is you check in and you get in line to meet Belle. They then take you to your seat and you place your order and then head up to the appetizer buffet (salad, meats, cheese, shrimp, etc.). Your entree then comes, and then you get a shared desert (3 or 4 different ones, can't remember the exact number).

We (3 adults) had dinner there in October. I was a bit skeptical as I hadn't seen lots of reviews of dinner. We enjoyed both the food and the interactions with the princesses. They were delightful, always asked if we wanted a picture - which we didn't - and spoke to us and moved on. It was perfect for our group.
We were seated and given menus. We ordered our entrees and then made our way to the "appetizer buffet". It was delightful. It had salads including a green salad, fruit, meats and cheese, shrimp etc. It was all you care to eat.
After we finished our appetizers our entrees were served, hot and fresh and very good.
This was followed by a shared dessert for the 3 of us.
We enjoyed it very much and I would go again.

Just ate there this Friday. The food ranges from decent to good, but not great by any stretch. If I wasn't redeeming the dining plan, (excellent value for a single credit) I'd probably be disturbed by the dollar cost. Don't think the prices equate to the food you will get- you are paying for no-line face time with princesses more than anything else. It was a nice experience for my three year old girl, but I wouldn't choose again for the food experience alone.
