Akershus for breakfast

I booked advanced reservations for Akershus breakfast. I was given a choice of times and I took 10:10 am but now I am thinking I should of chosen a 9:00 am time slot as this will be our first morning in Epcot of our trip. I was thinking that If I picked 9:00 I wouldn't have to worry about missing a ride before 10:10 cause we'd eat first then go ride. We are only spending half a day there then hitting MGM that evening cause we are having dinner at 50's Prime Time at 4:20. The only thing I am a little concerned about is that we are staying at All Star Music and I want to be sure we will have enough time to get to Akershus before our reservation if we move up the time. Any advice on moving up the time till 9:00 or not. Also, do you know if the buses have a drop off at the back of Epcot in the World Showcase?

We always try to get the earlier time. It is nice to finish breakfast and then be able to do a few rides before the park gets crowded. The bus will only drop off at the front of the park. If you are there before park opening, there is a particular gate that allows the breakfast people to enter (they check your name off of a list) and head straight to Norway.

Do you know how long it takes to get to Norway from the Epcot entrance? Also, I think I've heard that the first bus pick ups from the resorts start at 7:30 am...do you know if that's correct?

It is a very short walk from the entrance. You go down the main walkway and take a left. Mexico is the first country that you will pass and then Norway. They rope off the area past Norway so you can't go any farther. Depending on how fast you walk, you can make it there in under 10 minutes. As for the buses, I am not really sure since we always take the car on breakfast days. This year, we got right through at the gate as there was no one manning it. Last year they made us stop and wait until exactly 8. The buses were able to go right through and not have to wait. You will have to go through baggage check at the gate so allow time for that. I don't remember if the first bus ran at 7:00 or 7:30. Can anyone else help with that question?

I just called the WDW adv reservation line and the guy I spoke with said I should have plenty of time to get there and now my reservation is for 8:55. If anyone hears what time the buses start operating from the resorts though I would love to know!
