Akershus Dinner Selections

So, I know the line up is not guaranteed, but it looks like DD will have a better chance to see her favorite princess, Ariel, if we go for dinner. For anyone who has been, can you tell me what you thought of the following entrees?

1.Pasta Akershus
2.Venison Stew
3.Barbecue Short Ribs

Opinions on taste, quality, etc...

Well, I'm not much help. LOL But I have ordered the Pasta Akershus whenI took my DD there a few years back (and will probably order it again on our upcoming trip). I don't remember hating it so it must have been good at least. LOL Hope that helps a little.

and Ariel was not there. I believe it was Belle, Jasmine, Aurora and Cindy.

I ordered the pasta and it was very good.. but honestly we didn't go there hungry. The desserts were YUMMY though.

I thought the princess interaction was very rushed. "Hi, want my picture, bye." Much better at CRT.

I had the BBQ short ribs this past September.

I thought they were just "okay". Very tough, and not much meat on them. The flavoring was fine, but nothing great. You get corn bread with them, which I thought was way too dry.

I think next time (we're going back this September) I'll be trying something else.

Thanks for the replies! I was originally thinking of doing breakfast since it would be things we all really like. The dinner menu looks somewhat alright, but I'm still not sure.

Braised Lamb was wonderful.

Lingonberry cheesecake was very good.

I have eaten there for dinner several times and would recommend the Traditional Kjottkake. Mmm..so good. The Pasta Akershus is okay but nothing too great. The kjottkakke is like a meatloaf with mashed potatoes on the side. My boyfriend used to be a server in the restaurant and when he would suggest this dish to Guests, very rarely would they be disappointed. The lamb was good as well.

It's usually the same princess line up for lunch and dinner so if you must go to lunch, I would also try the salmon sandwich with potato leek soup. Very tasty. My fav on the menu. Good luck!

Braised Lamb was wonderful.

Lingonberry cheesecake was very good.

I do love the Lingonberry cheesecake there and also love the Vension Stew, that was the best thing there. DH and I loved all the food there, though we arent going again this trip

When I ate there I did not like the braised lamb. This time I'm thinking about getting the cod or short ribs.
