Akershus clarification

Can someone help me understand how Akershus works for Lunch. Is it a buffet for the appetizers and then served entree? I have a very picky eater with me and I understand they have hot dogs on the menu, but it is not listed on the official site. Does anyone know if more standard fare is available? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Kids' Entrées
. . . Pasta with Grilled Chicken served with Broccoli and Paremsan Cream Sauce. Choice of one (1) Beverage
. . . Meatballs served with Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and choice of one (1) Beverage
. . . Pizza topped with Mozzarella and choice of one (1) Beverage

I haven’t done lunch there since 2010. We like breakfast there much better, but from what I understand it hasn’t changed. The appetizers are on a buffet bar and are all you can eat and you order lunch from a menu. I don’t remember there being hot dogs on the menu. My picky eater, then age 7, had the cheese pizza mentioned in the previous post.

Hot dogs were definitely on the kids' dinner menu in September 2009 but I can't vouch for it after that.

We ate there last February and I'm fairly sure hot dogs were not on the menu. Thinking my kids had a cheese pizza and meatballs.

For Lunch you start out with the "A taste of Norway" appetizers on a buffet.
It is a cold buffet that includes sliced deli meats, seafood, and prepared salads and cheeses.

Then you choose from the Menu.
All dishes come with various accompianments

The adult menu consists of:
Norwegian meatballs
Chicken breast
Open face beef sandwich
Open face Chicken sandwich
Salmon cakes
Mushroom stuffed pasta

The Kids Menu for 9 and under consists of:

Meatballs
Hotdog
Pizza
Grilled chicken breast
Cheese Ravioli
Salmon

Dessert is served family style and consists of:
Chocolate Mousse
Traditional Rice Cream - topped with Strawberry Sauce
Apple Cake


THey take a picture with a princess at the beginning when you enter Akershus
that will become a free picture package and will be brought to your table during your meal.
