Ok, I am struggling with whether or not to keep this ADR. I will give you the background so maybe that will help with advice!

0950 am ADR on a F & W festival day.

Attending a culinary demo. When I booked it I didn't realize we would get to try something at the demo. Seems like a lot of food at that point.

7 year old daughter is not into princesses and was worried we would make her wear a dress. She does not want to wear a dress. lol.

Doing 3 other character meals this trip (Storybook being one) so we will already see Snow White. (Tusker and Crystal Palace being the others).

I was looking forward to the different food, but after watching/reading too many reviews, seems kinda..basic?

The alternative would be a quick breakfast at Shades of Green, and that buffet would be about $90 less. So, is that money better spent at F&W?

I don't want to miss out on an experience, but I also feel like this ADR has the real possibility of being kinda meh.

One person in our group has a problem with Eggs, Dairy and Gluten. Loves fish though which is why I kept this ADR.

We are finishing our day at Spice Road Table for dinner.

That about sums it up, I really can't make up my mind on this one.

As soon as I read this, my response was don’t keep it. We ate there years ago and loved it but I am part danish so grew up on the food, and take any chance to do all thing Scandinavian. The only thing that it still authentic is the buffet. Which is why we won’t be going back. You can get a lot of this food at IKEA - and I hate to say it, it is just as good. You have so much going on and other character meals. So No - skip it.
You can get some good Scandinavian food at the bakery.
Have a great trip!

Thanks for the well thought out response and giving me the push I needed! Ironically we were married in Denmark! Also, the cooking demo is from a Danish chef Mette Dahlgaard on that day. The more I looked at this ADR the more it seemed to have disappointment written all over it.

Lucky you on both! I think you would be very disappointed if you kept the adr. I am going to the Danish days in Solvang to get my fix next month. Almost as excited for that as our WDW trip. There are only WDW chef demos while we are there, so not going since we can enjoy their food at their restaurants. Would love to see Mette.
Have a great trip. Do visit the Norway bakery - so good.

Akershus breakfast is a must do for us for our trips, just went last Thursday. Sentimental thing. Great interactions with the characters (Usually Snow, Aurora, Cindy, Ariel, and Belle). Breakfast is served family style, so you don't have to get up from the table, but is pretty much what you would get at other buffets, but the potato casserole they serve is one of my favorite foods on property. The buffet spread is good (pasties, fruit, and other cold foods), but, again, apart from a few foods, nothing you can't get at other breakfast meals. If you having doubts I would say skip it, but for us, we love it.

Then dont go! A major part of the meal is meeting the princesses and parading around the restaurant with them. The food part is not worth the price. You are paying for the whole experience.

We love breakfast at Akershus and always book a PPO ADR there. My niece loves princesses, so it is cheaper for us to do this, rather than CRT. I would not go if your daughter is not into princesses though.

We've done both. Only reason we did Akershus was because my daughter was into princesses at the time. The food is okay, not great. On the other hand we love the breakfast buffet at Shades of Green. My daughter doesn't want to eat breakfast anywhere else and is upset we can't get a reservation for our upcoming trip, lol. I'd say hands down I'd do Shades over Akershus. You'll miss out on the typical "Disney" feel but can't beat the price. Plus they will make Mickey pancakes to order. Chocolate chip are my daughters favorite!

Cancel the ADR bc:
- your daughter isn’t into princesses and you are paying a premium for the characters
- if you are planning to enjoy F&W booths, a mid-morning meal will probably disrupt that goal since you’ll be full(at a TS I want to get my money’s worth meaning I end up stuffed), I’d just save your money for the booths
- you already have a cooking demo scheduled, I’d do a quick breakfast and lunch to keep your day flexible so you aren’t feeling like your whole morning is scheduled/rushed
