Hi
We have an ADR for breakfast, but my brother's grandchildren have an appointment at BBB at 9AM and they're afraid they might be late for our breakfast at 10:15, even with getting a taxi. How is the lunch? We might have to change our time if we can. The foods seem a little different and my DD and I don't eat any meat. I know they have a Pasta dish. Has anyone had that and is it good? Also, can anyone be specific on what they have on the cold buffet? Thanks a lot.:goodvibes

I don't know if I'll be much help.. I've been to the lunch, not to the breakfast. I thought the lunch was fantastic. :thumbsup2 We went early--I think it may have been their first lunch seating which worked out great. Do you eat fish? I had the salmon and soup and I thought it was great. ( I am part Swedish though and am partial to Scandinavian food).

The cold buffet had a lot of meats and cheeses and salads. You could make great little cheese sandwiches out of the fresh bread and the different cheeses. That is what my DD 3 did. The place is so much fun, we had a wonderful time.:cloud9:

The pasta is okay but pretty bland. I LOVE LOVE the salmon sandwich and soup for lunch. But if you are not a seafood fan, there are other yummy things. If you like meatloaf, the kjottkakke is also very good. It's like meatloaf and served with mashed red potatoes on the side.

I am sure you will find something you like for lunch. Have a great time. I have always loved this restaurant...for many reasons!

I think the food at Akershus is very good....

the kids menu has pizza, raviolies....my DD 5 loved them both..

pasta akershus.. so good.. love love love the chicken

DD5 did the BBB in May. Even with reservations, we waited over 30 minutes. It took about 30 minutes for nails, makeup and hair. And figure atleast 30 minutes to get cab, ride over, get through security and to Norway. That said- there were two or three pasta/potato salads, shrimp, seafood salads, green salad and sanwhich type stuff. If you can eat seafood, I had the cod with seafood medley. It was very mild but the horseradish mashed potatoes gave it quite a kick. The dessert tray was awesome! Have a great trip!
