Is there a PhotoPass photographer at Akershus? Our party of 4 will have 2 children from different families. It would be great to be able to print additional copies for family members from the CD. TIA.

Since there is a dedicated photo for the experience given during the meal, there is not a PhotoPass photographer at Akershus.

Yes and no. The photos go onto a Photopass, but they don't give it to you. But when you get the free print, there is a Photopass card number printed on them (on the back, IIRC, or else inside the folder they give you), and you can add that card to your account.

Before you get seated you will get your picture taken with one of the Princesses. Once you get your "complimentary" photo package (while you are dining) you should have an envelope that tells you you can view the photos online. The Disney photopass number can be found printed on the outer edge of the larger photo. You can claim this photopass number and add it to the photo cd via www.disneyphotopass.com. I did not realize this until I came home from our August 2009 trip. Luckily I did so I could add the photos to my cd.

The photopass photographer does not walk around the restaurant and take other pictures.

I also did buy the photo package from Chef Mickeys and the Tusker House and noticed you can do the same thing with those. Just keep in mind that these photo packages are on top of what you are paying for the meals. They are not "complimentary".

Wow. That was fast. Our breakfast is 3 days from now. I am already at WDW and the girls arrive with my sister tomorrow, so I appreciate the quick response.
If I am understanding correctly, I can manually add the PhotoPass number that is printed on the complimentary package photos to the PhotoPass CD I have prepaid. Is that right? I could then have another set of Akershus photos printed at home so each girl's family would have a set. Did I get that right? Sorry to be so obtuse.

Correct. Last year I had 4 photopass numbers to claim on my one CD. One from the Princess b-fast, one from Chef Mickeys, one from the Tusker House and the one I carried on me for all of the pictures taken within the parks. Have a great trip!!!!!

Just a caveat...and not a bad one. Don't be shocked if you see other kids on the photopass ID that you put in. I found the photopass ID number on the top left or right corner of the picture...it was a long number. So, I went to the photopass website to call up the photos so I can add them to my CD. Well, there were 16 pictures...of 16 different kids including my daughter. Of course, I only saved the picture of my daughter to the CD.

This was June 2009. If it has changed...please disregard my post.

Does this also apply when you have lunch in the castle? I would love to be able to get more photo's off the CD.

In September 2009, the card number only brought up pictures of me and my DH, no other families.

This is a great tip!!! Thanks so much. We've purchased the photos from CM every year and we but the CD but never knew we could add our purchased photos to the CD. This year we're having lunch at CRT and Akershus as well as dinner at CM. Even more pics for our CD!!!

And you can add the borders and make other changes to these photos like your other photopass pictures. We had about 20 pictures each of DD and DS at Akershus...they were trying something new and used DD and DS as "models". As a result, I had lots of pictures of DD and DS just from this one restaurant.

Is it safe to say you do not get a choice of which princess you are photographed with?

Yes, the number printed on the photos was of another Photopass card. as has been explained above. But entering that number brought up a half dozen photos of me and DH with Belle, and one of the paper that had our reservation info written on it (I assume so they could find us). No pictures of other people.

I'm not talking about my personal Photopass card, since many many people have pointed out that you there are no Photopass photographers at Akershus and I didn't use it there.

I think it's usually Belle in her yellow dress. It's too big to walk around the restaurant in, so she just poses at the front.
