Akershus ADR on EMH day- help!

We have an 8 am ADR for Akershus on 11/30 which is an EMH day. I've read a few scenarios explaining how early we would be able to get in the park allowing us ample time to get to Norway (we'd enter at main entrance not International).

Any advice on keeping this ADR? I feel like I will be sitting there thinking about how the wait times outside are increasing by the minute. I don't even think we have an advantage for FEA and Anna/Elsa being that we may be done by 9 am. And I realize we'll be in the World with 2 hours to kill before opening and going back to the Land as it's filling up.

I'm not an expert but I'm not a novice either... what would you do? Thanks!

I would do my best to switch your Akershus and BoG ADRs. That's two parks with EMH that you could be taking advantage of that you're losing. You're also right that you have no advantage for FEA, as I'm pretty sure it is on the list for EMH attractions. By the time you finish breakfast, not only will the EMH people be there, but regular, non-EMH will already be there too.

Thanks, sharonabe! I was so excited when I snagged them because I essentially was able to reserve all of the hard-to-get ADRs. I paid no attention to EMH and that's my fault. Now I'll go back to my reservation finders to tweak (along with everyone else in late Nov/early Dec). I actually have another Akershus ADR for lunch the same day but BOG will bring me down, haha.

If you wanted early ADRs for ride advantage, change them.

If you really wanted breakfast with princesses to kick off the day... I'll be contrarian and say keep it. I did something not dissimilar when my PPO Crystal Palace last year became not PPO because open moved to 8AM. (Full open, not even EMH!) We entered park, took some pictures, rode Aladdin's Magic Carpets for the first of 781 times that trip (you've no idea I am not even exaggerating) then we went and ate with Pooh. And it was okay! Because we wanted breakfast, and Pooh Toast, and hugs from Tigger.

It depends on priority. Hugs from Tigger and food were priorities, and we still did fine in MK that day.

This happened to us around Christmas. I booked an 8:00 a.m. ADR thinking we would be in the park early and ahead of the crowd. Of course hours changed and the park actually opened at 8:00. Unlike other parks they did not let anyone with ADR's in any earlier than anyone else. I think they opened the gates around 7:45. Canceling breakfast was not an option bc I have a 3 year old obsessed with princesses. We did not get to ride FEA but we were the 1st ones in line to meet Anna and Elsa with no wait! After that we headed to our breakfast. We did not like the food at all but the princesses were great. We are trying CRT in November... very excited about it!

That's great perspective... I'll hang onto it for now but I want to release it as soon as I can. I know how frustrating it can be for reservations and I want to be fair to someone else waiting.

I hope you get it! I used TP and got a CRT ADR a few weeks ago for late November late lunch on a party day. Fingers crossed for you!
