Has anyone been to the Akerhaus princess breakfast? We are thinking of going but are not sure whether we want to walk all the way across Epcot when the world showcase isn't even open. Also how long does it take to get from Epcot to MK?

We did it and LOVED IT!! We went first thing in the am - the food was hot, fresh and plentiful. Character interaction was great - we'll definitely be doing this again.

As for how long to Epcot - maybe 40 minutes counting the time it would take to walk to the front of the park, catch the monirail etc.

We also did it and loved it!! The food was good! Family Style. They bring plates of food and put on the table for everyone to share. Belle was there greeting in the foyer in her Yellow gown and we all got our pics taken with her.
Also, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Snow White, Mary Poppins were there and they all were great and interacted with everyone at the table.

I know some here may disagree with me but, we've done both Norway princess and Cindy's breakfast 3 times each in the last 4 years and we think Norway is way better. For one, the food at Norway is way, way, way better. The princess interaction is great and your kids get their picture with Belle in her yellow dress. Plus, there is this little princess crown making kiosk outside where the little girls can design a crown to wear at the breakfast. My DD 4 loved this last year. She wore the thing everywhere we went, esp. at night because it had flashing lights. :)

We always stay at an Epcot resort so we walk in through the international gateway, so it's not a bad walk to Norway. Epcot to MK by monorail is very fast.

What was the food? DD wants to go here.

Served family style - there were yucky looking cinnamon rolls that turned out to be FANTASTIC! Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes of some sort that were yummy - there MAY have bene french toast (can't remember) and there was a bowl of cut up fresh fruit - we had melon, pineapple and strawberries and of course juice, coffee, tea etc.. Everything was EXCELLENT!!

Glad to hear the good reviews. We will be going in August. We have been to CRT for breakfast and the food was not the greatest but the experience was great!

I want to share my opinion because DH and I dont have kids and never did a character BF before-- we took our 4yr old niece to Disney in December and did both Norway and CRT for BF.

sure everyone wants to see cinderella at the castle- however- i thought Norway was MUCH better than CRT. there were so many princesses @ Norway, they were visiting all during our meal, a lot of interaction! CRT, you were lucky to get a quick visit from one of the characters.

the food @ Norway was OK- i would not complain about it-- i would not choose to go back there JUST for the food- but the food WITH the princesses was well worth it. ;)

oh- and a BIG :thumbsup2 to our server who brought me my mimosas with a smile! ...well its all about me...right? :rotfl2: (can you tell WHY i dont have kids!) :rotfl:

Can anyone tell me if the potato casserole was the same cheesy potatoe casserole that they serve at CRT? That is our make or break decision-We love those potatoes at Cinderella's and want to go back just for those!
