AK to MK

What would be the easiest (& fastest) way to go from AK to the MK on Disney transportation ?
If it matters, it would be on a weekday around dinner time.

There's a bus from the Ak to the TTC. Once there, you can either take the ferry or the monorail to get to the MK. This is probably the fastest.

You could take the bus to the AKL and then take the bus to the MK. The buses from the resorts drop you off near the MK entrance (so no need to cross Seven Seas Lagoon via ferry or monorail).

You could take the bus to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to the MK (about a 10-15 minute walk).

I'm really not sure which would be fastest, as it depends on wait times and transfer times. I'd be tempted to take whichever bus (of the three listed) was ready to leave the AK first.

JMHO. YMMV. Maybe Chip 'n Dale Express (Disney Transporation CM) will post.

Thanks for the reply CarolMN. Follow up question for you or anyone else who could help.

I was considering the bus to Contemporary (or Poly or GF, whichever came first) then using Monorail to MK. From time standpoint does the monorail take so long to go around the loop that one resort would be better than another ?
Other question was if I went to Contemporary, where does bus drop you off. Is it near monorail or by the time I wait and ride monorail would I have been better off to just walk the 15 mins to MK ?

If you board the monorail at the CR, the next stops in order are: TTC, Poly, GF and then the MK. IMHO, it would be faster to walk to the MK than to take the monorail all the way around.

I am not sure exactly where the bus drops you off at the CR. I also THINK that the AK-CR bus may be shared with the Poly and GF. If so, I'm not 100% sure of the order of the bus stops. I think it is CR, Poly and then GF.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. It's been a long time since I've visited the CR. This will bump the post to the top though so maybe Tyler (Chip 'n Dale Express) will see it. He will know the answer for sure!

All three methods described above will work.

The West bus (stop #1) first goes to Blizzard Beach, and then heads off to the resort. It will drop off at the Contemporary first, and drops off right at the main lobby. It is a 7 minute brisk walk to the Magic Kingdom turnstiles. Approx 30 mins travel time from AK to MK.

The TTC bus (stop #11) is a 15 minute bus ride to the TTC, and from there you catch the Express Monorail to the MK. Approx 30 mins travel time from AK to MK

The AK Lodge bus (stop #7) is a 5 minute ride to AK Lodge. From there, you connect to the MK Bus, which is a 15 minute ride. Total travel time from AK to MK: 20 mins + wait time for the connecting MK bus.

Taxi: 30 mins travel time.

Personal Car: 45 mins travel time.
