Hi! We are headed to Disney in three weeks and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best way/time to get from Animal Kingdom to our Hoop Dee Doo 5:00 pm reservation?

Also what would be the best way to get from Hoop Dee Doo back to our resort (CSR)?

Thanks!

I think the easiest would be to take the bus from AK to AKL and then the bus to MK and then the boat to FW, Pioneer Hall is a short walk from the dock.
There will be buses after the show for your return to CSR, or return to MK by boat and then bus to CSR.
Give yourself approx 90 minutes to get there.
Or take a cab at a cost of approx $20-$25, not sure if cab will leave you at the main gate or take you directly to Pioneer Hall. Someone will know.

Have a great time.

A cab will drop you by the Ft. Wilderness entrance and you'll have to take one of the buses to the show.

I'd recommend getting to the Magic Kingdom the best way you can, then take the boat to Ft. Wilderness. The boat stops very close to the show. The boat ride on those little boats is my favorate Disney transportation option.

If you are going from the AK park, then take a bus to the Wilderness Lodge and catch the boat there.

Can you take the boat with an electric scooter? My dad will be using one that we are renting for the week.

I'm wondering if it would be less complicated for us to drive to AK that day and then drive to our ADR however I will have to see if we can all fit in my parents car with the ECV.

There is a direct bus, non-stop, from AK park to Fort Wilderness; but it goes to the check-in area, where you will have to change to a FW internal shuttle to get to the theater.

1 hour is a reasonable estimate of travel time, and then add time for however early you want to arrive. If you get there too early, you can walk around, see the stables, browse in the store, etc.

There are direct buses to the resorts after the later shows, but I don't know whether they run for the 5:00 show. If not, then the boat to MK and bus to your resort is the way to go. You can also take a boat to the Contemporary Resort and walk 1/2 mile to the MK bus area, if there's a long line for the MK boat and no line for the Contemporary boat.

The boats between Contemporary & FW cannot take ECV's. There are 2 types of boats between MK & FW: Cruisers (big boats) and Launches (little boats). The launches cannot take ECV's, the cruisers can. They either run 2 cruisers or 1 of each on that route; I don't know what the current status is. But some folks have said on the DISabilities board that they even have a hard time getting on the cruiser.

You might be best to stick with the bus from AK to FW going. (Add 10-15 minutes to the travel time for loading and unloading on the 2 buses.) If there are not direct resort buses available after the show, take the bus back to the check-in area (the Outpost), then take a bus to Epcot (or Hollywood Studios if it's still open), and catch your resort bus there. Both Epcot and DHS are on the way to CSR. When you get on the bus at the Outpost, tell the driver you are trying to get to CSR.

(There's also a bus from the theater area to WL. You could get the Epcot or DHS bus there, as well.)

You could drive if that's practical, but be aware that you will still have to take the internal shuttle bus from the parking lot to the theater.

We stay at Fort Wilderness quite frequently and DH uses an ECV. We have no trouble getting the ECV on the Large Cruiser that goes back and forth to MK.

My recommendation would be to take a direct bus from Animal Kingdom to Fort Wilderness, then take the internal Yellow Settlement bus to the Settlement area, then it is a short walk to Pioneer Hall.

(Any of the internal buses, Yellow, Orange, Purple, will get you there, but Yellow is fastest).

Returning to CSR, short walk to the Marina, take the large cruiser to MK, then take the bus to CSR.

Also, I would leave AK NLT than 3:30, because the AK/Ft. Wilderness bus will also be stopping at Blizzard Beach to pick up passengers. They like you to check in for the show by 4:30.
