One day of my trip we are going to be in AK then will head to DTD for dinner and some shopping

I know the best and fastest way to get to DTD from AK will be taxi but I was wondering if anyone knows approximately how much that taxi will cost?

Also if we decide not to take a taxi what are the best options to get there via Disney transportation?

Thanks for the help!

If you want to use Disney transportation I would recommend taking the bus to Saratoga Springs, getting off at Congress Park and then using the walkway to Downtown Disney.

Thanks... how long is the walk

I think this is the best way

Also where would this walkway bring me to at DTD?

Get off at the Congress Park bus stop at SSR. Follow the path to DTD Marketplace. It should be no more than a 10 minute walk.

Or, get off at the last stop (Carriage House) and catch the boat for a relaxing ride to DTD West Side. You can walk to Marketplace from there or catch the boat shuttle to Marketplace.

oh if the walkway by Congress Park leads to the Marketplace that is perfect

Thanks so much everyone!!!

Not a bad walk. It's actually nice you walk along the waterway, espicially if you do when it's dusk out. I would pick this route over a taxi. You go to Disney for the magic right. Well enjoy with a nice casual walk with your family. Plus you can check out S.S. cool resort.:)

Thanks everyone.. I will go put this in my park plans so I don't forget

One more question... does the bus driver announce the stops at Saratoga Springs as I have never been there and wouldn't know where to get off the bus

Thanks again

The computer will, if the bus has a working computer. You can also ask the driver when you get on to please remind you when the bus reaches Congress Park. It will be the 4th stop at the resort, from AK.

The boat from Carriage House now goes to PI, not West Side, which is closer to Marketplace. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Carriage House bus stop to the boat dock, which is behind the resort's restaurants and store.

Thanks.. maybe I will take the boat if we are tired from the park that morning

Not the fastest, but quite nice:

Get the bus to Port Orleans Riverside, get off at the main stop, walk through the lobby and catch the riverboat. Takes about 20 min. from PO to DTD, but it is a nice ride.

I'm confused . . . . Isn't there a bus that goes from AK to DTD? Is there a bus that goes to DTD from AKL? We will be staying there in Sept. Thanks

There are no direct busses between DTD and any of the parks, only between DTD and the resorts.

So from a park you always have to take a bus to a resorts where you then have to change to a bus going to DTD.
