AK to DTD timing

Anyone seeing all my posts can probably tell that I am trying to plan all the logistics for our trip next week!

On Saturday we will be at AK. We are going late so want to spend as much time as we can in the park. We also have a reservation at T-Rex in DTD at 8:30PM. What time do we need to leave AK to swing by BW to pick up my husband, find parking and hike over to T-Rex for our reservation?

I have heard with the construction that parking can be awful, especially on a weekend, but I am not sure of another faster way to get there (other than a taxi which adds a lot of cost to the trip and we will have our car at AK.) Is there still valet parking at World of Disney (which I believe is right next to T-Rex).

since DTD has been torn up. I would give yourself 30-40 minutes from leaving the DAK gate.

The Unofficial Guide usually has a table showing travel times between major destinations. The times are for bus and personal vehicle. I reference that when I am planning. I'm not at home right now so I cannot give you an answer from the book.

You can probably get an ebook version for about $10 or most libraries have a copy.

actually.. an hour. at least. by then the local crowd will be heading Downtown to party the night away.

it's probably a 5-1 0 minute walk from the bus stops to the restaurant and the area is crowded due to the walls on either side bunching people up.

Thanks - I was thinking at least an hour but didn't know if we needed more with the parking situation.

Can anyone confirm that there is still valet parking at World of Disney? How much is that? I think that is our back-up if things are too crazy and we are running late.

Last December, Valet was only at the Cirque parking area. The multi-story garage is going up where the other Valet lot was located.

DTD is currently a huge mess. I strongly suggest you spend the $20 and take a taxi. Otherwise at bare minimum leave an hour ahead. I was at DTD last week and could hardly believe all of the construction I was seeing.
