AK safari ?

I had seen where someone had said they didn't recommend doing the Safari on EMH day, but ours is scheduled for the least crowded day also.

Is it that hard to accomplish doing Safari first thing--any of you tried, is there a long wait or what?

It can be done...We did it the first thing when we arrived at Animal Kingdom. The CM told us the earlier the better beacause the animals are more active and they are usually feeding. The put the food close to the area where the vehicles drive. I would go first thing!!

I have heard the same thing. Matter of fact the AKL has special tours for guests staying at this resort and those tours start really early, not sure of the details but the point is that the animals are more active in the morning. When it gets hot it is time to lay in the shade.

We always head straight there and do it first. The line is a long walk and keeps moving at a good pace usually. I think the later in the day, the more standing you do, as with most rides.

Our early EMH bus got there about 10 mins after the early EMH started and the Safari was packed by the time I got there. I had to get fastpasses for a couple of hours later. This WAS on Spring Break, but it seems like alot of people have the game plan that they run straight back there. We had a PS for a character breakfast that day, but they took us early and we got done in time to use the fastpasses. It was ALOT of walking for me though, the designated "go get the fast passes while the rest of us look at the flamingos" person. Not that I mind walking but it was day 3 and my dawgs were barkin!
