So the morning of AK, a recommended day, lower Sept crowds, we are not using FP, as Im saving all 3 FP for MK later in the early evening.
So. without FP, which ride is best to go to first for a lower wait?

I'd hit the safari first, as the animals are usually out early in the morning and this can start to create a longer line first thing, although lines might be shorter anyway in Sept. Remember that you'll get wet on KRR so I'd get other rides/attractions done first, then do rapids, even if I had to wait a little in the stand-by line.

OK. So maybe we should skip rapids till after lunch ..LOL..I have no desire to go on really, so maybe my husband and daughter will. WOnt the waits be extremely long by noon though??

I went one year in early October and only had a short 15-20 minute wait for Kali river Rapids around 11:45. I would ride Kilimanjaro first. Being wet first thing in the day isn't much fun.

Safari first. Don't want to be wet in a bumpy truck ride. Lines will get longer as the day goes on for both but safari will grow faster so may want to do that first.

Thank you for all the help!!! I think even for my 7 yr who will hate to be wet, they can do it after lunch. If the line is too long, we will pass. I remember there wasnt anything that special about it that was different from other theme parks. Just trying to optimize our time as we only have 3 full park days :)

Safari first because the animals will be out and it is a much better attraction first thing in the morning. Kali should not have that long of a wait if you head there right after.

September is as hot as, well, you know where, so even if you get wet, you're going to dry quickly. We were there at the end of August last year (right before Labor Day) and my husband took a huge wave right to the face/chest on Splash Mountain (LOL LOL LOL) and was dripping wet when we got off the ride. He was completely dry a half hour later.

ETA: I also recommend the Safari first, though.

We do the rapids on our way out.

In 2009 DS just HAD to ride it during PM EMH about an hour before we left. I tried to talk him out of it but he was determined. He was soaked. I had to spend $50 for a new shirt and shorts from the EE shop because he as so uncomfortable. Granted it wasn't September hot. It was a bit chilly that night.

You could do Kali just before lunch if you're planning on eating at Flame Tree BBQ. The seating is shaded but outdoors. Being a little (lot) wet would make eating outside in the heat a little cooler.

Safari first. I seem to remember Kali doesn't open until 9:30.

This is exactly what we are doing on our upcoming trip this May.
