Where can I find the room #s and layout of Kidani? I used to know where it is but I can't find it now.

Next year we are taking inlaws and will have a total of 5 adults and 7 kids (2-12). If we don't go with the Grand Villa and end up with a 2BR and studio I want to see if they are laid out in such a way that we might be able to request rooms close to each other. We're willing to compromise on the savannah view for the studio if it means we could get itcloser to the 2BR (which must have the SV). I know staying in a GV would be easier but it might not be available and we could stretch our points a little further with the 2 room option. (actually a 1BR and 2 studios gives us the most bang for our points but not sure I can deal with the logistics of that).

Thanks in advance if you can point to me the info I'm looking for.

Here's a link to all the AKV maps posted on DVCNews:

I've never seen a specific room map done of Kidani - only Jambo - but my understanding is that the rooms are all mixed together so it should be possible to get a 2BR and a studio that are located close together.

Kidani is made up of only 2 bedroom dedicated (140) and 2 bedroom lock-off (168) units and two story GV's (16). The 2BR dedicated and lock-off units are spread throughout the resort and thus you will always find a 2BR lock-off (which could be 1BR and studio) close to and often next to a 2BR dedicated no matter where you go in the building. In other words, you can get a 2BR and a studio near each other anywhere in the building and both can be savanna view, and for part of the building (less than half) there can be standard views across the hallway from the savanna views.

Thus, you can request a 2BR and a studio and ask that they be close to each other on same floor. Nevertheless, my advice is that you make your prime and lead request for both rooms (or even a GV if you can get it) "close to lobby" and make "same floor, close to each other" the second request. They try to meet requests in order of preference and I assure upu, unless you really like walking for virtually forever with tired 2 to 12 year olds after a day in the park, the key request you must make is close to lobby. The distance from the lobby to the end rooms on the north wing of Kidani is over 1/3 mile, and takes an adult walking at normal pace without kids about 5 1/2 minutes. It is literally the longest walk down an internal hallway from lobby to room of any hotel in the world (I mean on the earth not just in WDW). Close to lobby puts you close to everything (bus, pool, store, restaurant, community hall) and gives excellent savanna views of the Sunset Savanna which has giraffes.

Thanks both for the info - and great post drusba. That is advice I will be following.
