AK restaurant suggestions- PLEEASE!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for suggestions of places to eat at the AK for lunch. Is there one place that really stands out from the rest? All the places there seem to be fast food type places.... I'm not really into hamburgers so anything else would be appreciated. Where have you dined, what did you eat and how did yo

I believe its the Pizzafari (near the walkway up to Lion King area) that we usually eat at for lunch. Me, DH and older DD usually get the chicken ceasar salad they have. Very good, it also comes with a nice soft breadstick.

At least it is a change from the naughty stuff.

Tusker House is very good if you like rotissori chciken. It is served with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Don't forget to get the AK lunch voucher to pay for it! Purchace it at the counter service restaurant of your choice and save a few....

We love the Rainforest Cafe. My favorite is the blue mountain chicken sandwich. The atmosphere is great, but a little loud. You could check it out before you enter the park and see if it's something you want to do.

We also like Tusker house too, it's quick and the food is good.

at the Pizzafari. Its not bad and is very quick. Be sure to get the AKL kids deal meal. In fact, they went ahead and just gave that to us since the kids' meal there is the same price as the meal deal. Plus, you get popcorn or ice cream and a drink later!

You know I've never even eaten a burger and fried at AK. The counter service places there have some very decent food. I like Flame Tree B-B-Q & Tusker House. I've never eaten at Pizzafari but have heard good reviews of there too. Rainforest is also okay and good if you want waiter service but I really like Flame Tree and Tusker House better.

Here's a vote for Flame Tree! Also, there are so many patio levels outside for eating at Flame Tree. You can get really close to the water. Just try to sit under the canopies...last February we didn't, and one of my girls was unpleasantly surprised by a bird, if you know what I mean!

I like the Flame Tree BBQ as well ... I've had both the BBQ ribs and the chicken salad. Both are very tasty! I've also seen many people ordering the rotissiere chicken.

We enjoy the Tusker House also. We usually get our meals, then head outside to the Dawa Bar to eat it. You can watch the street entertainers or just enjoy the whole Harambe atmosphere!

They have a nice wrap sandwich, too, altho the chicken dinner is yummy. It's "real" food, compared to fast food.

Great ribs and chicken salad at Flame Tree from our June trip. Recently in November we just had light snacks. Carrot cake *mmmmmmm* and fries from Tusker house. I think AK is the easiest place to eat if you want counter service. Great food and great prices!

Has anyone tried the key lime pie at Flame Tree? I wanted a slice after lunch but I just couldn't find the room *lol*

Pie sounds great--I get so stuffed I never even noticed that dessert was sold! Have a slice and let us know!!!!!

Just came back from AK and we ate at the Rain Forest Café on December 18th. The atmosphere is great, starting with full jungle theme and completed with the wonderful larger then life fish tanks. The storm every 30 minutes or so defiantly adds to it fun atmosphere. However if you are looking for a quite place to eat I would not go here. It tends to get loud and its very well suited to kids and adults alike. We all had hamburgers here and enjoyed them very much. However on the menu there is also seafood and steak dinners that looked very yummy! I give my vote to Rain Forest Café!

Our favorite is the rotis. chicken at Tusker House. The carrot cake is delicious!
