AK Plan of Attack

Any suggestions on how to enter the park to get the most ban for our buck?
A certain route that the majority does not take?
What should we head for 1st....any secret paths to Expedition?

Thanks :wave2:

I don't know if the procedure is still in force, but the last week of June, if you were there at park opening, CM's would walk you behind a rope to the ride, no matter which way you plan. After park opening, you can maneuver in any direction to get to the ride.

When I went I headed first to Expedition Everest. I went through Asia, it is actually quicker going that route than going through Dino USA, in my opinion. Go to see the Safari anytime after you get your fastpasses for Everest. From there you can ride: Kali, and the other attractions - the wait for this are usually under 30 minutes. :thumbsup2

Get fp for EE do Kali and if you get wet you'll stay cool the rest of the day and in late afternoon do the Safari. I have done early morning, mid day and late afternoon and I saw the most animals out in the afternoon.

Thanks, guys...
Also any word on the "Dinosaur (?)" ride. Is it a good one?
Is it a roller coaster? Should we Fastpass?

Dinosaur is a ride but not a roller coaster. I would do PW before Dinosaur first cause I think we did it about 11 and waited 15 minutes for a 20 or 30 minute wait.

Not a coaster.

But its rough, the roughest ride in WDW.

A state-of-the-art "dark ride" using "flight simulator"-type hydraulics on a moving jeep-vehicle.

Lots of scary full-size dinos along the way.

Intense and FUN. :thumbsup2

FP if the posted wait is over 40 minutes, otherwise just do standby.

(This ride uses the same technology as the spectacular Indiana Jones attraction at Disneyland.)

Dinosaur scared my nephew who was 6 I think the last time we took him. He didn't like the loud noise or the jerkiness.

Great Tips...but I don't know what PW is, it's late, and Im brain dead

Dinosaur is really intense. I will admit, it scared me the first time I rode it. I was sitting right on the side where the large Dinosaur was - oh man, not a pretty picture! :rotfl:

Our time is limited for AK....anything that might be OK to skip?

This is like asking someone to list all of the movies they DON'T like.

Better to ask what's GOOD, the list is easier to make.

WHat are the TOP TEN of AK.....sure to please.?

Festival of the Lion King... SPECTACULAR entertaining show for all ages.

K. Safari

EE

Its Tough to Be a Bug... funny and amazing (very SCARY for the young ones, however)

Dinosaur (rough ride for adults, and very scary for kids) I like it!

Flights of Wonder (yes, its a "bird show" but its VERY GOOD!)

Both of the "Walking Trails" (Africa and Asia) offer close-up views of lots of animals.

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade... one of the "good ones".

I LOVE AK and cannot wait to ride EE in December :goodvibes . I was hoping to go to EE right at opening for fastpasses and also ride it then as well. Then I would head over to K. Safari. Have the wait times for K safari gone down considerably since the opeing of EE?? I know it used to have pretty horrific wait times and was wondering (from those of you that have been recently) if it is reasonable to wait in the stand by line now that EE is such a huge draw!
