Is it better to go to AK on EMH morning on level 4 crowd day or go on level 2 day? Should I reserve fast passes at AK or reserve for another park in the pm?

Anyone going late February and want to share ideas?

1. Splitting hairs in my opinion. Go on the day that suits your schedule best.

2. I would reserve FPs for a different park later in the day if hopping.

More FP strategies are discussed in the green link in my signature.

And, :welcome:

One thing to consider is what time will you actually get to the park, do you think you will actually get there on the EMH day at 7:45 if not and your more likely to make it there by 8:45 on the regular day that may be the better choice. People on these boards and in other places say it over and over again but when you experience it you can really see just how much of a difference it makes to get there at opening. We only made park opening just twice during our trip but did get there very close to it on other days and for the first 1 1/2 to 2 hrs the lines were almost walk ons for most rides (during the weekdays the weekends were busier).

Based on your post it appears you plan to hop to another park which either means you have only a few specific things you want to do at AK or because it closes early you plan to then hop to another park. If you only have a few things you want to do and can FP all of them then it doesn't really matter what day you go. If you plan to stay the whole day on a level 2 day you should be able to get most if not all done then use your FP+ at the other park. During our recent trip we did AK on a level 4 day (no EMH) and though we did utilized FP+ and additional SDFP's it was some of the lightest crowds we saw on the trip and I dont recall seeing a wait for anything over 30 to 40 minutes.

With all that being said I'd also echo what mesaboy said, I wouldn't concern myself too much with that particular decision. Go on whatever day fits into your schedule the best and gives you the best options with the other parks you plan to visit.
