Can anyone tell me how we'd get from AK to Boma for breakfast. We thought of having a late breakfast at Boma during our AK day, but maybe this would take a big bite out of our one and only AK day. Is it best to drive over?

Take the bus to AK Lodge Jambo House. It's less than 10 minutes from the park.

Do the busses run non-stop? Sorry, we've always stayed off-site and this time no exception but would like to take in Boma for dinner or breakfast. Do you think it would be better on a non-park day?

They run frequently. You should be fine, especially since the park and hotel are in very close proximity to each other. Hope that helps!

The hotel is really close and will be the only stop - the bus will pull out of AK and in like 2 seconds you'll hear them put their blinker on to turn into the hotel :)

However, there are two stops at AKL. The first is at Kidani and the second will be at Jambo House where Boma is located. If you accidentally get off at Kidani you can walk to Jambo, take the shuttle or wait for the next bus.

You could also take a cab or uber which would be quicker. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Boma is good and AKL is lovely, but if your goal is to tour AK, this will take time out of your day. For a good buffet, consider TH in AK.

Our favorite breakfast at DW is Boma. We do Boma breakfast before AK every time. So so delicious. I would take the bus or a cab to AK. It is easy - we do it all the time. If you are staying onsite and have a car you can park at AKL and AK for free. So you can drive which we do also. But the bus is quick.

I agree - if your goal is to do AK then I wouldn't leave the park for a meal. Yes, they're close, but it still takes time just to get out and get back in. I would tell someone the same thing who wants to eat at a Boardwalk or Beach Club restaurant in the middle of their Epcot or HS day.

It does take a lot out of the day, but if you'd like to see AKL it is worth the trip. The lodge and resort are beautiful!

AK is a huge park, so it can be a LONG walk just to get to the front of the park and buses. I would plan on about 3 hours to get out of AK, bus to AKL, eat, and back to the park. It would be much more convenient to eat on your way in, before you go to the park.

We didn't care for Tusker House at all, but Boma was one of our favorites. Sanaa is great too with safari views in the daytime. However, we don't usually leave the park just to eat, so usually eat quick service at AK. Satu'li and Yak & Yeti are both great options.

Are you rope dropping Pandora stuff?

If you don't mind getting to the park closer to rope drop, I would do an early breakfast at Boma (like 7 am), eat right away and hop on the bus asap. It's a buffet and no characters so you can get in and out really
fast IF you have an early seating. We have done this many times and get there before or around rope drop. I wouldn't want to leave the park for a late breakfast.

If you want to get to the park super early and an early breakfast is not appealing, I would consider leaving for dinner and returning. That said, Boma breakfast is one of my favorite meals at WDW.
