I have never done the [parade at AK and was wondering what is included, how long, and is it worth it?? Thanks for any input!!!

Absolutely - I saw this parade the first day it was performed. It was easy for us to get a great spot because I don't think half the people in the park knew about it! The paths are so narrow that you are right on top of the action. There is a ton of character interaction. My kids were constantly being approached during the parade by the characters. We really enjoyed it. It's one of the top things that my kids want to do again in August.

This is a nice parade with cute floats complete with characters, stilt walkers and some of the costumed people similar to those that used to be in the Epcot parade. We saw it from Harambe and it was so close by like Mike said.

Don't miss it! And then buy the CD so you can listen to the music when you get home. My 2 year old son actually knows most of the words. We have so much fun in the car singing and remembering the parade!

We heard some of the Tapestry of Nations music before going to WDW last time and bought that CD our first night in park so we had heard the songs before parade - which made it fun! Do they sell them in Disney stores or online somewhere?

You know, we've never seen the parade either! I'm considering scheduling it into one of our visits to AK. It sounds great!!

yeah go to it for sure it is a great parade - and what people are saying we found to be true even at christmas - there are lots of characters and cast members that will intersct with you on some kind of basis

Definitely see this parade!! The music is so much fun - you'll really want to sing & dance along.

Of course, I have a soft spot for this parade - my sister & I got to ride on Mickey's float when we saw it back in 2001. What a pixie dust moment!

"Magic in the Streets" is the name of the CD. I don't think that Disney sells theme park music on the web or in stores outside of the parks except the disney store in downtown disney. They are often found on ebay, usually for slightly more than the original price.

On the web I did not find any on ebay, but I did find it here for 25.99 (I think I paid 18.99 at WDW), but have never done business with them myself.

I would try Walt Disney World Merchandise first-

This is my favorite parade!

There was a website called Mouseshoppe.com that had tons of WDW CD's. Magic in the Street has all the recent parade music.

Wife and I loved the AK parade. My wife who normally hates parades couldn't help but smile, laugh and dance along to the music. I had a great time. :earsboy:

Thanks for all the replies!! I will definitely try to fit it in on this trip in July!!!

We saw it for the first time in April and loved it. It was really cute and very colorful!! Those stilt walkers amaze me!! From there we went to the Festival of the Lion King which was fantastic!! Don't miss either of them:Pinkbounc

Love this parade - sat right at the Safari entrance and before getting my seat got a fast pass for the Safari - zipped in for the last safari right after the parade passed me by.
