AK or DHS...

Got a big of a quandary,

For our December trip, we are scaling back the park days, as it was too much last time for my toddler aged boys.Everyone will go to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. However I promised the older two boys that we could have a solo day, just the 3 of us... and are having a hard time deciding between AK and DHS.

On one hand AK has the boys second all time favorite ride, Expedition Everest... plus the Safari ride, Dinosaur, P. Whirl, etc... a lot for us 3 to do. Crowd levels are predicted to be VERY low the week we are there, so that's a big incentive.

On the other hand, I have never ridden Tower of Terror... AND this = 0 may be our last chance to experience Muppets 3D. The crowds are predicted to be a bit higher than AK... but then there are the Osborn Family lights...

So what do you think a 15 year old, 16 year old, and a 40ish goofy stepdad should do? =)

DAK in the morning to cover those attractions.
Hop to DHS in the late afternoon with your FP+ at that park for ToT, etc.
End the day with Fantasmic!

DHS has no appeal for me - it is a less than half-day park IMHO. I know I am in the vast minority (possibly a minority of one), but I didn't get the big deal about the lights. BORING!

DAK is at least a full day park for me and would ALWAYS be my choice over DHS.

I would get park hoppers for the 3 of you (if you don't already have them) and do both.

If you don't have park hopper passes, I would go to DHS. That's my suggestion because 3 of my favorite rides are there (Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster, & Great Movie Ride), DHS is open later than AK, & Fantasmic is there.

I thought about Park Hoppers (has em last time) but will not this time because it will be on our last full day so I need to leave time for swimming, hitting the lego store at DS one more time, etc... =)

I agree with all the park-hopping suggestions! But if you aren't getting them, I would do AK. I can't get enough of Expedition Everest and Dinosaur!

I also would do AK. Much of DHS is a ghost town and you might have to ride the same rides over and over again to stay busy all day.... if you could get the FP+

I would agree with the others and suggest AK. I think there is so much more to do there than at HS.

AK, but HS is my least fav park and I don't ride ToT.

One of my boys is voting for DHS, the other AK so I guess I will be the tie breaker. =) I really, REALLY want to finally ride ToT... but they day we would go it's a 1 crowd level at AK and a 5 at DHS (due to the Osborne Lights?) so that may push us to AK... be nice to ride EE a couple of times (it's a tradion for us to get there 10 minutes before our FP and get a twist cone. Yum) =)

Honestly, I think a solid case can be made for both parks, even with Hollywood Studios being in rough shape right now. It may be easiest to just flip a coin.
