I'm redoing my whole schedule for September due to the recent calendar changes. :-(

I'm thinking of cutting one of my DHS days out completely and going on Labor Day for evening EMH.

I would at AK 9-5 and possibly Sanaa 5:45. I may cancel that ADR now though. I was thinking going to DHS after for that. So about 7-7:30-11:30.

Would you use FP at AK or DHS?

What are the wait like for TSMM during EMH? Does the ride reopen after the Frozen fireworks?

I feel like my plans are all trash and I need to start with a blank slate.

Personally, on days where I've done both AK and DHS (or other), I go to AK early and use the FP's at the second park.

If you can get to AK early (I'm not saying rope drop early), you can hit the Safari when you get there and Dinosaur and Everest should be short waits. You don't really need FP's for Festival of the Lion King. Then hit the AK "minor" attractions as the day goes on. Only long wait might be for Kali if its a hot day.

I have a prepark opening TH ADR and I don't want to ride Kali! This could work well. There were only two things I could think to FP anyways. Everest of two in the party and Dinosaur of two others and then rider swapping Dinosaur. Only other thing was Mickey and Minnie. I was going to FP a second Safari ride since I'll going straight there after Tusker. But I'm okay with not.

For doing AK and HS in the same day we go to AK in the morning as you don't need a FP anything really until about noon or later. Then have FP's set up for HS later that day since those rides will be busy.

We were there 2 weeks ago. At AK, it seems like they were giving out a ton of FP for Safari, compared to past trips with the old paper FP. Even at 10am, standby line for Safari was 30-40 minutes because FP line was enormous. It took 5-10 minutes just to get through the entrance of the FP line, seemed like there were always dozens, sometimes hundreds, of people lined up to scan their Magicbands. Not quite as bad at Everest, but there was always a line there too just to get in the FP line. We toyed with the idea of hopping and reserving FP at the second park, but this was the first trip we did not hop at all. After experiencing FP+ the first few days, we decided it would be better to stay at one park, use our 3 pre-booked FP early before lunch, then try to get as many as additional FP as possible. I'm glad we had the FP for the morning at AK. By using them early, you can get more. Save them for the second park, and you are only getting those 3.

I would not recommend HS evening EMH, especially on a weekend/holiday. Because the EMH doesn't start that late, the park doesn't thin out like it would for a MK EMH until 1am. Also, with only a handful of rides, all those people are packed into a small number of lines. And due to the tiers, you can't get advanced FP for Toy Story and RnRC. If you go at rope drop, that's no problem, but going after dinner means you're waiting in long line for one of them.

We have done EMH several times at DHS as DD always loved the dance party that is in the Disney Jr. building during evening EMH. Every time we have done it, we have gone to check the line to ride TSM, and every time the line has still been an hour and we have skipped it.

I'm planning DHS for the EMH because of the Dance Party and additional Fantasmic they added.
