Rule of thumb for entering mornings at WDW.
"30 minutes before opening time, be standing at the ticket reader gates."

The "Rope Drop Ceremony" at DAK takes place some distance INSIDE the park from the gates. Expect to be allowed to enter the front gates 10-20 minutes before scheduled opening time (EMH or not).
The earlier you arrive before they let you in, the closer to the Rope Drop Ceremony you will be after you're allowed to enter the park and walk back to it.

The actual BUS RIDE TIME from AKL to DAK is under 4-5 minutes. Its the shortest scheduled resort-to-park bus trip at WDW.

BUT, that's after you are on board, and the driver departs.
Always assume that you might have "just MISSED the previous bus" before leaving the hotel.
THEN, it may be 15-20 minutes before the NEXT bus pulls in to pick you up.
After the bus arrives at DAK, there is a 3-5 minute walk to the Security check (allow 1-3 minutes to get through that line) then a short stroll to the ticket reader/gates.

Worst case from exiting AKL doorway to DAK ticket readers: 20-28 minutes.
Best case from exiting AKL doorway to DAK ticket readers: 8-12 minutes.

Like most things at WDW (and in LIFE) "TIMING is EVERYTHING."
