AK on a Saturday?

Going the 17-25 of August. Want to do a park every other day. So AK has EMH both morning and night on the 18 (according to TP).
My thought is arrive at 6:45 AM for the 8 AM opening. Do FOP (figure 30 minute wait if we are at the front of line) then Safari and then EE (hopefully short wait and kids can ride twice). Head back to FW for lunch and a nap. Then back over to AK about 3 do all indoor rides. Reride FOP and the river, enjoy Pandora at night, hopefully cooler and *less* crowded then the day. This is the plan if we can't get an FOP FP. Quick service whenever they get hungry for dinner.
Kids are 11 & 14. We typically go in Feb, but we realize we are going to need an afternoon break due to the heat especially in AK (was the only park that felt warm to is last trip) no

I would get park hoppers and go to another park in the afternoon, with Fast passes waiting for me at that park. Since you will be there early for EMH, you can get a lot done at AK, then leave for a second park after your nap. Just get a FP for FOP on another day.

Are you planning on waiting in the standby line if you don't get the FP? That will still be a very long, very hot wait unless your plan is to wait until the end of day and get in line just before the park is closing.

We don't do park hoppers it's just not something we are interested.
Our plan is to wait till about 15/20 before close to get in the standby line, if the kids want to reride it.
