AK morning EMH / Rope Drop / No FP+ / May 1, 2018

I'm wondering about this too. We planned our day to avoid EMH and now they are every day except our AK day (next Thursday). I'm worried this will end up being the busiest day to go and that rope drop will be crazy busy. I would switch days now but don't want to give up our FOP fast passes.

That’s the day we’ll be there too.. I’ve been trying to switch days to Wednesday but no luck getting FOP FP. I’m hoping all the non-resort guess will be busy standing in the long FOP Line and keep the rest of the park less crowded. I plan to watch the wait times this Friday, non-EMH.
We have a 9:30 FOP, my plan is to RD Na’vi - ride twice then FOP and maybe EE before 10:50 TH breakfast.

We are also planning to RD Navi, then we have Safari at 9:05. I assume everyone will be heading to FOP at rope drop but still if it's at an insane crowd level at rope drop, I'd rather switch to Wednesday than having my little kids and parents in the insane crowd. But really don't want to lose those FOP fast passes. Then again, it sounds from these reports that it's possible to ride FOP and Navi without much wait during EMH. Would really like to hear some reports of rope drop on non-EMH days since this frequent EMH started.

Perfect, what time did you go to the bus stop. Staying at VGF in less than 2 weeks and trying to decide how to get to EMH AK. Last dec I took a minnie van from BC and it was great. But $25.00 and tip could be used somewhere else!

About an hour or so prior to EMH start, so around 7 AM. We didn't get on a bus until about 7:15 or so. Apparently we just missed one. If you are at the bus stop on a day prior to your AK day (in the morning), ask the CM who is there. He or she will know for sure when the bus for AK begins - the concierge and front desk people really don't. A family who came right after us was given wrong info by one of them. As I posted earlier, the bus we caught got us there in plenty of time to ride the Pandora attractions without long waits and I did not rush at all from entrance to Pandora.
