First let me start off by saying please dont yell at me or put me down. EVERYTIME i post on here i get yelled at or put down. So i try to just read and not post. But I need help with AK dinning. We are going in September and it will be the following people.
DH= 38
ME-33
DD1= 7 (This will be her 3 Trip)
DD2= 16 Months (it will be her Frist
and my Neice =15 it will be her first time.

here is what we want to do so far.

Cheif Mickey the first day
MK Crystal Palace
DHS Hollywood and Vine play and Dine
EP Princess Lunch
and we have no clue for a TS for AK.

Anyone that can help I would be VERY thankful.

If not at AK another place to stuff in a TS meal.

Sorry you get yelled at. That's not right!!!

My suggestion for AK would be Tusker House. The breakfast has character dining!

You could use a TS at Tusker House.

Or you use CS for Flame Tree or Pizzafari, then go to Bomas for TS at AK Lodge.

We are going to Boma on the day we go to AK for dinner. AKL and AK are very close so getting there should not be a problem whether you are driving or taking the bus. AKL has a few options that all sound good (Boma, Sanaa and Jiko). For breakfast I would again recommend Boma or Tusker House.

Sorry you have been yelled at. People can be very touchy and and quick to jump.

My vote for AK TS would be Yak and Yeti! So Yummy!!!! You seem to have a lot of character meals planned, so it'd be nice to have at least one that isn't a character meal.

Just wanted to say that I am sorry that you get yelled at!!! :goodvibes I generally find the boards very friendly and hope that this thread will encourage you to post more if everyone stays nice!! :goodvibes

I think both TS restaurants at AK are good choices for your group. But another idea: What about a meal at the resort you stay at? AK is a very hot park, so it might be nice for everyone to have a quiet evening back at your resort.

Hi, sorry to hear of your treatment here, hopefully that doesnt happen anymore. :thumbsup2 We ate at yak an yeti, the service was terrible the server didnt say a word more than what would be absolutely necessary. The decor was cool though. Food was good. I would go there again to try the ribs. I had the dry duck. We've also eaten at Tusker House for lunch, it's a buffet and it was too different for us, lots of spiced dishes. They do have corn dog nuggets, pbj station, mac and cheese. The best TS and now a must do is the Tusker House character breakfast. They have wonderful cheese blintzes!! The characters are great too! I got the best pic of me with Donald, the morning light was shining strong through the window and my flash wasn't turned on but it added the best shadows, contrast, and mood! Anyway the food was great each time we went and now it's a must-do.

Good luck with your decision, have a great trip!

Are you on a dining plan? IF you are I would try the Yak & Yeti or Tusker House. If you are not, there is also a Rainforest cafe right at the entrance. The park closed at 5pm last week except for sat when it closed at 7 so the 5pm close made it ok to do dinner elsewhere.

For counter service we love Flame Tree BBQ. We did NOT like Resterauntasaurus. :)

Has anyone suggested ohana, not in animal kingdom, but it looks good for kiddos.:wizard:
That's what I was just about to suggest. Normally on our AK day we do a resort dinner, since AK closes so early. It's easy enough to hop a bus to any other resort straight from the park. 'Ohana is one of our favorites. :goodvibes

We usually try for early breakfast at Donald's Breakfast Safari and time it so that we are done before the park opens. This way we can make a bee line to Killamanjaro Safaris or Expedition Everest at the park open from the middle of the park as opposed to from the front gate. Also Mickey usually appears at the time to do a little park opening celebration!

For a CS dinner or a late lunch in AK - Flame Tree BBQ is awesome!
:thumbsup2:
