Does anyone know if the lunch vouchers will be available for purchase for January 2003? What is the cost and where do you purchase them at?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure they are going to keep this for a while, as there were lots of permanent signs on our trip last week. You buy them at any of the counter service type restaurants. I think they were $11.99 plus tax. We bought and used ours at the Flame Tree Barbecue. We definitely saved money using them! The kid's version are only 5.99 plus tax! We bought two adult vouchers - used them on a barbecued rib plate, and a half of a barbecued chicken plate. They also included a VERY large counter drink - we had one Diet Coke and one pink lemonade. We got the kid's mini hot dog meal for my 12 year old (She is a very fussy eater - She lives on hot dogs when at WDW) She got two good sized hot dogs in buns, french fries, and a child sized drink (I think it was about 12 ounces!) DH, Myself, DD13 and DD6 split the two larger entrees - with leftover fries and one leftover rib! Later in the afternoon we were able to stop at one of the carts and get 3 bottled drinks (We chose water - usually 2.50) and 3 desserts! We got a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich, a frozen banana and a 100 yom bar. The ice creams were 2.50 - 3.50 each. This means we basically got the kid's meal for free! and paid about $4 for each of the adult meals - awesome deal!

I agree those kids meals have to be the best deal on property! We were going to get two adult ticket cards and one child. then I realized that the kid's ones were $5.99 and so was the kids cheese pizza and drink meal at Pizzafari where we were eating! So, I got two kids ones and ordered both with cheese pizza and milk, another kids sized lemonade (This was actually the way the CM suggested doing it as the kids drink was a lot cheaper than a milk) and then DH and I split a wrap sandwich and and shared the large Coke and each had a slice of the kids pizza. What a deal. Later we got the ice creams for Dh and DD and DS and I split a popcorn. Two waters and a coke and that's all we spent for food for the day we were there. I sure wish the other parks had this deal!

It sounds like these vouchers are better than the connections vouchers.

It would be nice if the other parks had something like this.

Anybody use these at Tusker House? What type of food available? And dare I ask if anyone has used a kid voucher for an adult?

We used them at the Flame Tree Barbecue, but it works the same at the Tusker House. You can look at the menu for Tusker House on wdwig.com. It lists all the regular prices, as well as the meal deal price. With an adult voucher - you have your choice of any entree they offer - the rotisserie chicken would be a great deal. As far as using a kid's voucher for an adult, you would have to use it to buy a kid's meal. I don't know if an adult would want that? We did use a kid voucher for my 12 year old at Flame Tree, as she wouldn't eat anything there - major fussy eater - she got the mini hot dogs, which came with fries and a child sized drink.
