AK in the evening - is Everest possible?

I'm going in early December and instead of a very early morning to ride Everest, I was thinking of scheduling an afternoon instead. I know FPs will be long gone, but is the standby line managable right before the park closes? Am I better off sticking to my original morning plan?

While we were there this past Easter, the standby line was always at least an hour all the way up to park closing. The only exception was in the very early AM.

Was there Friday at 2:00PM, FP still available, Standby 30 minutes. Early Dec is usually less busy than this week, but check for Pop Warner Dates

If you were traveling Christmas week (like the Easter Poster above) I would be less hopeful.

I'm at the AK Lodge right now. Rode Everest 1 1/2 hours ago. Stick to the morning plan. Even at closing the Standby Line will be LOOOOOOOOOOOG. I did Fast Pass for Everest at 9:40 AM and got back at 1:00 PM. At that time the Standby Line was 50 Min. With Fast Pass we were on in 7min and rode twice in about 20min. ( we had extra fastpasses). If we had ridden in the morning, the standby line would have been 20 min. Not bad at all.

I would hate to take the chance we could ride late in the day only to find out the standby line is an hour. I guess it's an early morning for us!

If you can get there for Evening EMH that might work. A couple weeks ago thats what I did. I rode it 3 times and only waited about 10 minutes each time.

We did EMH for AK and the wait for Everest was posted as 20 minutes it was more like 10, go for it!!

If there is a EMH during your stay, its the perfect solution! Nice call!

An EMH works great, actually. It's the day after our MVMCP so we can sleep in as late as we want. Also MK is having Spectro and Wishes that night, so AK should be pretty quiet.
