Just so you're aware, the safari is not open during early entry and it typically doesn't open when the park does. For example, if early entry is at 7 am and the park opens at 7:30, the safari would open around 8 am.

It says park opens at 8:30 day we are going so it should be open then right?

If the park opens at 8:30, then it would open around 9 am (give or take. There will be a sign posted in the park saying when the safari will open). I would still hop in line as it can get quite long in the morning. Once the line opens it moves fairly quickly.

Yes we always do safari first and have found this is the way to go.
