Looking at next monday oct 27th. Besides a few rides what else is open? No safari? no animal trails? Are any animals on the smaller front of park trails open? Trying to figure out if its a good idea for our arrival day. we would be getting to the park around 3:30/4:00.

anyone know besides the few rides listed is there anything else open? Food? Any animals at all out? for the evening hours?

If you are talking about Extended Evening, it will be Navi, Flight, Dinosaur, and Expedition. Safari closes at 6:00 so you could do that prior to Extended Evening. Once the Extended Evening hours hit all restaurants / quickserves close with the exception of maybe some of the kiosks. The trails would also be closed.

so no animals at tbe front of park areas either?

If you will be there when AK is dark it is very much worth it. AK at night is just a different vibe.

You can do any rides that won't be open before EEH starts and waits are usually very low around the time you plan to arrive.

thanks! But zero food options open between 6-8? and no animals anywhere?

Does anyone know if they will have AK EEH in January? I would love to see the park at night

It gets dark pretty early in January. You will be able to see the park at night if you stay until closing. We've done it in November after the time change. It starts to get dark around 5:30 and the park usually closes at 6, sometimes later.

That's what I've been lucky enough to do on two separate occasions in late January. Both times the park was open on Saturday night until 7:00. Sunset was around 6:15-6:30. So I was able to spend the last 1/2 hour-45 minutes just walking around Pandora, marveling at the scenery and wondering how they justified spending so much and making night-time so beautiful, yet guests can so rarely enjoy it. For some reason, I also noted that Satul'i Canteen was still open. I just can't imagine anyone choosing that time to hit up Satul'i Canteen for a cheeseburger pod or a bowl rather than enjoy the scenery. If I can find some pictures I'll post them.

Nights in AK really made me love that park. Many years ago I did a PM EMH when they used to offer it. EE in the dark is so pretty too.

We've visited AK in the dark during regular park hours in both December and January. Well worth the experience, especially Pandora!

Do the safari, trails and food from 4-6 pm and the rides that are open from 6-8 pm. You’ll get to spend time in pandora at night. That’s what I would do.
perfect idea! I didnt want to show up and the trails and all animals gone for night!
