AK EMH questions.....

I am taking my 2 granddaughters (10 & 6) June 23rd. I do want to take advantage of EMH but, do not want to be in the stampede to FOP.....we have FP+ for later.

If we wanted to do Navi, would we still need to be there that early?

If we decide to just head to Safari (which is my current plan).......what time should we get there?

I keep reading they are opening up to 45 min early....does this include on EMH mornings?

If you want to go Navi River Journey then I would plan to get to the park about 20-30 min prior to emh starting. They don't allow guests to start riding 45 min early, they allow guests to scan and get into the park and be in a holding area.

The masses will rush to FoP, get there about 30 min before emh start and you can be on NRJ with a very short wait, or a walk on. From there I would head to the safari.

Someone who's recently done emh might chime in.. There was talks a few weeks ago that the Safari was not open during emh or during the first hour of regular park opening. Idk if there was truth to that or if it was true and is now changed.

thanks for the info...never thought about Safari not being open.

We have no problem being there 30 min before EMH. I will plan on that...and head to Navi.

We are planning on the same thing but I think we will FP the safari around noon since it will take a big chunk of time during EMH.

I've thought about doing Safari FP for later but, choices during EMH are slim for us. 1 child will not ride EE & 1 child is too short for PWhirl. I really hadn't thought about Dinosaur because I thought it might scare them...but, I may have to discuss this one with them.

Ugh my 14 year old is still scared on dinosaur. I don’t get it at all. It is very loud and dark and chaotic I guess. I wish she would get over that. At least she will ride with her eyes closed now lol

LOL...I guess closing her eyes helps some.

My daughter loves Everest so I guess we will do Navi River and then make the long trek to Everest. If we are really lucky maybe FoP and then Navi but I can’t walk very fast so we probably won’t be at the head of the pack to Pandora

Who knows what the hours will be by the time we get to June. Guess I will wait & plan the morning closer to date. I'm just happy we were able to get FP for it.

and I love EE but, since I'm alone with 2 kids, it's all 3 of us or none of us on every ride. Oh well, at least they love Space Mtn!!

I know what you mean. I have short legs and EE seems such a long walk away from everything

I just got an email that there are now early EMH at AK all week when we are there in June. I don't know if this will spread out the EMH crowd a little (but I can hope!) I am sticking with the day that already had early EMH.

Same here!! No way to change around FPs and I do hope it spreads out the crowd!!!

Of course nothing is updated on the website or app yet, but I'm curious about people's experience with this? Our goal is to head directly to the Safari, since we decided we aren't going to try for FOP, but if they aren't open that throws a wrench into the plan. We have FP later in the morning for Dinosaur, Navi River Journey, and Everest. Does anyone have any advice, assuming that the safari is closed, where should we spend our time?
