I think it all depends on how much you want to get done at AK that day. If you're only looking to do a couple of things, you'd probably be OK. If you are planning on being at the park when it opens at 8, and you would be able to get at least a couple of the headliners done before breakfast...and don't care much about the rest of the rides it would work. However, if you want to "do it all" I would not take any time out for a table service restaurant...the place would be packed by the time you got out of breakfast (all the EMH people arriving at 8, then from 9 on you'd have all the non-Disney guests, with the sleep-in types showing up at 11 or noon.)
I know for us, AK is not all that interesting (we live very close to a world-class zoo with all the fancy bells & whistles...AK is just so-so by comparison as far as the animal exhibits go.) So, anyway...we like Ex Everest and K. Safari...Bugs Life is OK. But other than those attractions, the only other thing we like is Festival of the Lion King and Nemo Musical...so for your scenario, we'd get there at 8:00, ride Ex. Everest, and then hustle over to K. Safari...ride it, and then go to breakfast. Then we'd see which show was up next and go watch either FOTLK or Nemo...then Bug's Life, then the show we didn't see yet. By which time it would be early afternoon, and we'd be leaving.
