Spending 1 day at AK, need to select 2 resturants: 1 for Lunch and 1 for Dinner.

Cant decide between Yak and Yeti, Tusker House or Flame Tree BBQ

Want a 1)memorable experience, 2)good Food, 3) Awsome Atmosphere 4) price does not matter

Myself, Wife and two teen age kids

Can we make Reservations around closing 7pm and stay after the park closes?

What are your suggestions -

Leave AK in the evening, go over to AKL and try Boma, Jiko or Sanaa for dinner.

I suggest 2 ways:

Tusker House Safari breakfast. It is great & the characters are so neat. I'm 50 & I love the place & the characters are only there at breakast.
Light lunch at Flame tree if hungry...it is good! Then after the park closes go to Ohana for supper at the Poly. Great food & a fun place to eat!

Other way: Yak & Yeti at lunch. We've only eaten here once on our last trip but were very impressed. We have it scheduled on our next trip. The mango pie & lettuce wraps were great!
Then after the park closes go to Ohana for supper at the Poly. Great food & a fun place to eat!

We usually always go to Ohana on our AK day. Usually the park closes at 5 when we go so it is a great day to eat elsewhere at a resort.

I would agree that if the park is closing at 5pm (which it usually does) then Jiko or Saana at AKL would be the best choice for dinner. For lunch I would suggest yak and yeti - I haven't eaten here yet but have had so many great reports from friends it is on my must do list for next time.

Flame tree is just a quick service.

So if you want a sit down meal, you really can't go wrong with either Yak and Yeti or Tusker House.

Tusker House is a buffet. It is REALLY delicious and has a ton of options!!

Yak and Yeti is a sit down with a waiter. The selection there offers Asian food... like chinese. (I got lo mein and shrimp... SO GOOD!!)

And if you want to go to AKL, I would pick Sanaa. It was our favorite on our last trip. And it gets amazing reviews from everyone who goes there. Out of the three I talked about, I would choose Sanaa. Plus then, you can go there after AK closes. It's really really good :)

Tough choices, since all of them would work. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Just depends on the type of food you're looking for. We usually go to Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. We like the food, and really enjoy eating down in the little pavillion by the water. Tusker House provides a very nice buffet, and we really enjoyed the Yak n Yeti lunch that we had there. I would do any of these for lunch.

And I join the other PPs who recommend leaving the park for dinner. Our choice has always been to go to AKL. It's the closest resort, but that's not our real reason for choosing it. We love the public areas of the resort, and enjoy unwinding from a busy park day with a cocktail at Victoria Falls.

Any of the restaurants at AKL are good in my opinion, again, depending on the type of dinner you're looking for. We think Boma has one of the best buffets on property. Sanaa is in our top 5 restaurants in WDW, as is Jiko (which has a more sophisticated, 'adult' ambiance).
