AK Dining- can't decide what to change (or not change)

Currently we have a day in August planned for AK and I have ADR for Donald Tuskar House bkfst at 8:30 and Y&Y for 1. I did Tuskar House because we have FP for safari 9-10.

Question #1 - will we make it to our fast pass before 10 if we dine at 8:30?? I know it's buffet style.

Question #2: I also have Y&Y at 1- which is in DH's opinion, too close to having had a big breakfast. I made the ressie based on our FP time for Expedition Everest. I could change the restaurant to more of a dinner time, but anticipate we will be someplace else in the park by then (like near Pandora so I can see it all lit up).

Other than Tuskar house is there a quick breakfast option available at AK? What are your thoughts? Touring plan suggestions??

Breakfast at AK is hard. We usually just get a muffin or breakfast sandwich at the little stand outside of Safari. I'm assuming you are on the dining plan is why you are doing two TS in the same day? I think the items from the stand count as a snack credit but we don't do the DDP so am not sure. Personally, I wouldn't do a big breakfast and a big lunch, especially in the summer. Wait, I just thought, I think the QS at Pandora is open for breakfast too.

I would keep TH it's a great breakfast.

I would keep TH, but show up as if your ADR was at 8:05. You should make your FP. I would cancel Y&Y at 1, or move it later. TH can offer a lot of food, and you may or may not be hungry. I would grab CS if the family was hungry.

You shouldn't have any problem with getting to the Safari by 10 (plus you have a 15 minute grace period just in case), but I agree that Tusker and then Yak n Yeti seems close. You may want to cancel it and just plan on grabbing quick service at Flame Tree or in Pandora instead. Or else just push Yak n Yeti back to an early dinner. Its really not that far from most places in the park so that shouldn't be an issue.

Other than Tusker House, Kusafiri has great pastries that make a good breakfast.

Rainforest cafe has breakfast at AK. If you really want a TS and really want Y&Y on the same day it's an alternative. If I were keeping Tusker, I'd skip Y&Y or move it to later in the day.
You should be fine for your FP.

Have you considered going a bit lighter at lunch? If your going to be near Pandora at 13:00 hours the Satu'li Canteen may be a good idea. It is easily one of the best counter service meals in all of WDW and is a lot lighter than Yak & Yeti.

I would get breakfast at your resort or hotel and keep a good lunch or dinner ADR.

Lots of options. We are not big breakfast people, so we eat a light breakfast in our room. You could move Y&Y to later in the afternoon. I really like Satu'Li Canteen and its a lighter meal so that may be good around 1 instead of Y&Y. You could move Y&Y to evening and keep TH for breakfast and a light noon at Satu'Li.
