AK counter service suggestions - Flametree closed!

I just read that Flametree BBQ will be closed during out vacation (closed 8/9-9/19). Yak and Yeti CS does not sound appealing. Does anyone have any other CS suggestions for AK???

I'm in the minority, but I don't care for the CS at AK. Usually DH and I head for the AKL and eat at The Mara. They have flatbreads, shrimp platters, couscous, and zebra domes! You can choose to sit in the air conditioned dining room or there are a few tables out by the pool.

The only CS at AK i ever eaten at was Yak & Yeti. We were pleasantly surprised !! The portions were large, although not too much seating. I didn't hear too much about others.

Our family is the rare group that doesn't like Flame Tree, so we always hit Y&Y CS. We really like it and find it a perfect meal for a hot day in the park. The only problem that I have is the lack of shade in the dining area. It's my husband's favorite CS in all of the World.

Eh, Yak And Yeti is just okay for us. We'll probably hop the bus to DTD to eat some great food at WPC.

Call me crazy, but we like Pizzafari. We don't get pizza, but the Italian Sandwich and chicken caesar salad. My husband and I share both. If you've never been inside, it has many rooms with amazing murals painted on the walls. It's really neat!!

Our plan is to catch the bus to AKL and have lunch at Mara

I'm very picky and I thought Y&Y was very good. In the park the only other suggestion I can give is Pizzafari, as pp mentioned.

We like Restaurantasaurus (geez I hate typing that word...LOL).
It is pretty good food, burgers, hot dogs and such. They also have a toppings bar like cosmic rays in MK.
And a big plus for us is there is air conditioned seating inside. Many of the CS places at AK don't have indoor seating.

We really like Pizzafari. The Hot Italian sandwich is so yummy!

We ate at Mara in May and it just didn't do anything for us. And it's so tiny!

Pizzafari is huge and we've never had a problem finding seating there, even right at lunch time.

I really like Y&Y CS going to do that again onmy trip to AK, not to much $$$ and tastie, I had cant remember exactlly sesame chicken with rice. Enjoy where ever you eat
