AK and DCL transfers

how much time do you have if you are picked up there what can you see in that short of time? when would you get to ship? is it worth it? has any one missed that bus?

We took advantage of the AK pickup back in May. I opted to sleep in a little and eat at our resort (CBR). We arrived at the AK for check in around 10, right when the park opened. We checked in with DCL and were given priority seating to the Lion King show, we squeezed in 3 rides on Triceratops Spin, the show and It's a Bugs Life. All before 12:00. LOL I would recommend taking advantage of the breakfast buffet and getting to the park early.
They had about 8 busses leaving that day for the port, we were on the 2nd bus to leave at 12:10. Got to the port a little after 1.
I think as long as you check in with them, they won't leave without you, but they are very prompt in their departures. I would recommend it, it was a nice ending to our land portion.

We also did the AK the morning we were to embark. We left our luggage to be picked up at our resort room. Ate our breakfast at the food court (CBR) and got to the AK @ 9:30 am. We checked in with DCL and left our daybags and enjoyed the park. We went on the safari, explored the conservation station, walked the Pangani Trails, had ice cream and shopped, all before noon. I would definately suggest you spend the morning at the AK.

They check you in when you arrive @ the AK and they check to be sure you are on the buses to the port. No one gets left behind!!

There were 6 DCL buses that day. We left @ 12:30 and were boarding the ship at 1:40. No lines at the terminal at all!! We were not concerned about getting ressies so no problems there.

I am a fellow worry wart here, so I totally understand where you are coming from. Just relax, take a deep breath and don't let the worries spoil your trip!! You are gonna have the time of your life!!!!
