Aisle seats

havent checked to see if its been discussed on here but just wondering..i hear (or heard) some airlines are now charging more for aisle seats. if this is true,what happens if i dont choose me seat at booking time and when i am assigned my seat and its an aisle seat,will they make me pay more?

which airline are you flying on?

Are you saying you booked a flight on an airline that does not allow you to pre select your seats?

And you are wondering if when you board the aircraft if you sit in an aisle seat if they will charge you more?

Some do charge, some don't. If you let the ones that charge assign you a seat rather than choosing your own, it's possible you'll get an aisle, but not as likely. In this case, they can't charge you more for something you didn't ask for.

I know some airlines (I think US Airways for one) charged for what they call "choice seating" - either an aisle or window seat at the front of the plane - a few years ago but I'm not sure if they're still doing it

If you get assigned a "premium" seat without asking for it they cannot make you pay for it.
