Recently flew AirTran from Flint, MI for our Dec 7-20 trip on the recommendation of I think it was Mike using this forum.
What great advice! We really enjoyed our flight down and back. The airport at Flint was so easy and convenient and the AirTran staff are so friendly and layed back. My Husband and I both agreed that our flight down was the smoothest flight we have ever experienced.
We went down the day before to Flint and enjoyed a day at Frankenmuth and a wonderful chicken dinner. We stayed at the Red Roof Inn just off I-75 (not sure we will use them again though - was looking for a cheap room but think next time we will upgrade a little). Our flight left the next morning at 7:30 a.m. and we were in Orlando before 10:00 a.m.
We have decided that we would much rather travel 2 hours to Flint than 2 hours to Toronto and the flight cost was a whole lot cheaper too.
Thanks to all those who advised regarding the use of AirTran. The information was very much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Sandra and James
