When you go online to book airfare at Airtran, once the available flights come up it lists Web special, two discount coach, three regular coach, and business class. If you click on the price for each one the only difference in the six coach fares are 'class of service with web special being L class, the two discount coach Q and K class, and the three regular coach M, B, and Y class. It may be a stupid question, but what is the difference in the 'L, Q, K, M, B, and Y class of service'

the only difference is the discounted coach you pcik your seats at checkin same for the web fares. the regular coach you pick the seats when you buy. there really isnt much of a difference is what you pay

The previous poster is correct, it is the ability to pick your seats in advance of check in. This may or may not be important.
Last week we checked in on-line for our flight to MCO right at 24 hours in advance. We were able to get 5 seats across in row 14. Perfect seats, Everything is great so far!
For the return flight we checked in at the Poly concierge desk about 12 hours in advance. They printed our Boarding Passes, but said they could not manipulate the seat assignments. We were 3, 1,1 (with a 3 and 5 year old) in 3 different rows at the back of the plane. I was stuck in seat 31A - the worst seat on the plane in my opinion. It was the last row - the seat back does not recline, window seat where there is no window - very claustrophobic. I was miserable for 5 hours!!!! Not so much fun for the money we saved on this leg.
