We are flying to MCO on Novembeber 24th and returning December 4th. Currently Airtran's schedule is open until the end of November. I found a half decent price for the flight down on the 24th. Is there any cost advantage/disadvantage to purchasing the one-way flight down now and waiting until December opens up and purchasing the one-way flight home?

What would you do? Any idea when Airtran will open up December flights?

Thanks,

If you've found a fare for the flight down that you're happy with I would recommend booking the one-way. AirTran flights are actually priced as 2 one-ways instead of round-trip. It's no cheaper to book both ways at once. With Nov. 24 being Thanksgiving Day I think I'd want to get that secured. Shouldn't be a problem to wait for Dec. 4. It's historically a slow travel period.
