Airtran: unhappy with flight changes but kudos to their customer service dept

I booked a flight for my September trip with Airtran. I vowed never to use them because of their frequent changes in their schedules once you booked.
But they had a good price on a flight out of Allentown and since there was only 1 flight a day I figured it would not change that much...wrong. When I first booked the flight was leaving at 4:20 pm then it changes to 5:40, I was okay with that, then it was 6:08 and now this weekend it changed to 6:27 which means I would not get into Orlando until around 8:30 pm. 2 hours later than when I had originally booked.
I called and spoke to a really nice gentleman, he asked if I wanted another flight, as they since have added a 6:00 am flight, but that does not work for me. He apologized and agreed since they've made so many changes I was entitled to a full refund.
He was so nice and understanding that it almost made me feel bad cancelling.
I booked with Southwest, a little more expensive but I will take a checked bag now, I was just going to take a carry on with Airtran and I have flight times that I am happy with.

I'm glad it worked out for you. It's very frustrating when the airlines change the schedule and it interferes with your travel plans. I am worried that Delta will change our flight time and we won't arrive in August as planned, and therefore will miss Fantasmic. It's the only night we are spending in DHS when Fantasmic is showing. I can't really change plans as it'll change all our park plans, which will then mean changing ADR's and as it's during free dining, getting her ADR's will be impossible.

ANyhow, it won't be the end of the world if we miss Fantasmic, but IKWYM about flight times being changed, and glad AirTran was so agreeable.
