Airtran pros....please help!

We leave in just 5 short days! Due to recent drops in Airtran flight prices, I have about $400 in credits with the airline. They told me I oculd use the credits to pay for my checked bag fees. We did this last year also. So, that's great! Here is my issue...I don't remember if you just check them in on-line, or if you also have to print something? Anyway, the question lies in the return trip. If we use the iPhone to check in, we can't print. Can I get them to do this for me at the front desk or do I not need to print and just do it from the phone? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks guys!! So, they will allow me to log into my account on their computers (since that is where the credits are)? Airtran told me I have to be logged on and on the phone with them so they can apply the credits. I did it last year, but don't remember the procedure. And, I only did it last year for the trip down, so it was from home and no big deal. I am hoping it all works out...it'll save us about $100!!

We just used the curbside checkin at MCO. Was really quick and actually got upgraded to Business Class for $19 for two of us. They cracked us some sort of deal....

Yeah...but then I can't use my credits to pay for my bags. So, I would have to pay $20 per bag.

Do you have Internet access? In room, smartphone, iPod? You could do checkin and then have desk print out. Actually, you really don't need printout, you can do that at MCO.

I didn't know you could request credit if your flight price goes lower after you book it.(with Airtran) How do you request the credit? Thanks

Call AirTran and let them know the fare is lower than what you have. They will reprice and put difference into AirTran credit account for you. I am doing today for a trip in Jan to Vegas, and I just did about a week ago, price is a bit lower again.

We have used credits at curbside. It's how we paid the $19 upgrade for business class.

We just got a $666.00 credit from Airtran. We always upgrade 24 hrs before our flight so I'm going to use some of that credit for the upgrade coming home. (I have A+ reward points for the trip out.) And as I already paid for my April flight I can only use the credit for the upgrade there too. So when AirTran goes over to Southwest ( which I don't want to fly) I may lose what it left of my credit. Or I may have to give in and fly Southwest once.

We got our credit with our Coach seats. We don't upgrade to business till 24 hrs before our flight. So YES!

Haha!! You are very welcome! I ended up with $102 round trip tickets!!! Can't beat that! Who would ever think a family of 5 could fly round trip for under $600??!! And, by the way...just so I can see it in print...exactly 48 hours from now I should be touching down in Orlando!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can not wait!
