We love Airtran and will always try to book them first through their web site. We have not had any problems with them. We choose our seats 24 hours before and print boarding passes from the web site. I think you can only do that when booking directly with them as opposed to booking with Orbitz for example. When we booked our first flight through Orbitz with them, we showed up at the counter and requested seats together due to having small children, no problems at all. Our return trip this Christmas ran into some delays due to snowstorms, and all the Airtran employees we came into contact with were helpful and cheery dispite having some really angry people getting up in their faces. The only bad thing is that if a lower fare is published they will not adjust or change your ticket without a 50.00 fee. Still doesn't make me want to fly SW on the chance that a reduced fare may happen. SW is really good about adjusting fares, but the random, cattle proding, boarding system of no reserved seats is not for me-ever. You will like Airtran.
