Does anyone know when AirTran will release rates past September 2010? I can't find where it tells on the website. . . I want to be ready when they release rates for November! :goodvibes

Thanks!

I don't recall that info being on the AirTran website.....it is on the Southwest site.

I spoke with an Airtran agent last night (1/29), and although she couldn't give any promises, she did say that she thought 2010 fall flights (beginning October) should be out within the next few weeks. I have a receipt from flight arrangements that I made last year for October 8-13, 2009, and I made that reservation on February 9th of 2009. I'm pretty sure that was the first day the flights were posted. Here's hoping they'll release the fall dates around that time again this year!

Thanks for the info! I will be checking daily then! :goodvibes

I'm checking daily also. The flight for the way down is up just not the way home. Hoping for this week.

Just noticed that Airtran flights are released through October 27th. The prices aren't yet all listed (just the expensive ones), but for those waiting, it won't be long!

That's great for all of you October travelers! :goodvibes I was really hoping/thinking that they would release Oct & Nov together. Oh well, I guess I'll just keep watching and waiting. . . . :surfweb:

Just bumping and waiting for the November flights to be released!

It does take Airtran about a week to get all of the fares on their website.

I tracked my flights for a few weeks last year, for the Saturday after Thanksgiving and returning the following Saturday. I noticed a trend.

It seemed like the flights got a bit higher from about Thursday night until Monday morning. I surmise this is the time that families are all at home together and can decide on flight times, etc.

The fares seemed to start to drop Tuesday through Thursday, and even fluctuated during the day. I booked my flight at 6:00 am on a Tuesday morning when I first got to work, and it seemed to be the lowest it had been.

By the time I called my two traveling companions and they booked around lunchtime, the fare had gone up about $20.00 - nothing major, but still a bit of a jump.

I checked it again at 6:00 am on Wednesday morning and it had dropped back down to what I paid the day before.

It pays to log in at different times, until you get to the point where you know you have to book it - 'cause it ain't gonna get any lower......:thumbsup2

Yeah got my airfare for 4 non-stop flights out of portland maine with seat assignments for 805.00.

Keep watching and be ready to book as soon as "your prices" are acceptable. As a PP mentioned, with Airtran the prices will shift up and down, so don't wait too long after you see a price you like.

It seems like they are coming out for $89 for the flights I will want (if the Nov rates are the same as Oct) . . . A little too much for me. . . But they seem to drop to $69 for about a day or two. If they do you can bet I will be all over that!! :cool1:

:wizard:

I'm going in Thanksgiving too and have been patiently waiting for jetBlue and Airtran to release their Nov fares. Still nothing. I would be reluctant to book Airtran as they are infamous for changing departure times and/or making non-stops one stops. But I'm guessing Thanksgiving fares are going to be very high. Fingers crossed...

November rates are up!!!!! :cool1:

They are too high, but they are up. :rotfl: I will keep watching them throughout the day (everyday) hoping they come down a bit! :wizard:

Good luck everyone! :goodvibes

When my rate came out. It took 2 days for them to put the cheaper rates up. I was very happy with what I paid.
good Luck!
