AirTran/ME question

From the WDW Info web site:

Guests who are flying on AirTran**, American, Continental, Delta**, Northwest or USAirways need to pay the airline's checked bag fee for all luggage prior to utilizing the Resort Check-In service. If this fee is not paid in advance, the bags will need to be checked by you upon arrival at the airport. AirTran and Delta charge for the first checked bag

What does "paid in advance" mean? Is it something I can do at my resort? Is it something I need to do before I leave home?

You need to call BAGs in order to pay any checked baggage fees, before heading to the RAC counter to check those bags. You will be given the phone number on the DME notice you get the day before you are due to check out. Just give them a call, pay your fees with a credit card and you'll be given a conf number to show the RAC people.
